This image was made in Adobe Illustrator. Following the previous Illustrator assignment we were meant to create an image of an influential person in our life in a different style than our self portrait.
This is a portrait of my sister in front of the profile of the city we grew up in as children, Seattle. I chose her because I really respect her. She confronted someone that was really difficult face and does not dwell upon the fact that even though it should have been an experience that was positive- life can really let you down.
In comparison to the form built up through multiple layers I wanted to simplify through bulky shapes capturing the subject.
